What machine packs the most power for travel?
August 20th, 2005
The answer is…..a Mac. A Powerbook G4 to be precise. I’ve had four Powerbooks, and I find them an indispensable tool when traveling abroad and at home. My Mac is my travel buddy I never leave home without. With a spare battery and an iPod, I can survive even the most brutal string of commercial flights.
Lately, I’ve had a string of friends who decided to switch lately, and when they ask me to hook them up with the proper freeware it usually takes a few hours to outfit and configure a virgin Mac from scratch. I came across a great article that describes it all in detail and provides links for you. So now you all can just leave me alone and pimp out your new Macs on your own. Of course, I’ll still get that dreaded first call asking: How do I right-click? (The answer is by the way, hold down the mousepad, use control or get a mighty mouse).
