Minty Fresh Stats
September 14th, 2005
So, as you might’ve noticed, this site is rather new. I scrapped most of the elements of my previous site that annoyed me, and one of the greatest moves was to a new hosting provider, Dreamhost. I’m happy with just about everything Dreamhost provides save one aspect, the statistics monitoring. I was complaining about that the other day when my buddy Mike offered a solution: Mint.
Mint is a fresh new statistics tracker that breaks it down for you in plain English. Rather than all the disgusting numbers that really are useless to most people, Mint provides only what you need and does so in an elegant and sophisticated manner. I highly recommend it.
Lets take a closer look at a side by side comparison between what Dreamhost offers and what you can expect from shelling out an extra 30 bucks for Mint.

Mint
Now, aside from being better by way of pure minty-fresh looks, Mint also displays a few important things: Pageviews, Unique Visitors and where they came from. Whereas Dreamhost, shows you just about every statistic in ugly pie-charts and by raw numbers, you have so many ways to look at these numbers that none of them make sense. Uck. Mad props to Mint.

The icing on the cake is this cute little Dashboard Widget for Mac users.
