Approximately 18 months after the public launch of Newsvine.com, the startup was purchased by MSNBC Interactive News as the only acquisition ever carried out by the industry-leading media company, which is a joint venture between Microsoft and NBC Universal (majority owned by GE). At present, I continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer of Newsvine.

I’ve spent a good portion of my life studying the world and its contents through travel and exploration. This site is my little corner of the internet, where I can share my tales about traveling, diving, goings-on at Newsvine and other random tidbits about life. My most recent interests take place in the underwater world. I’ve been to about 50 countries on 6 continents thus far, and have been diving, climbing and trekking fairly extensively in many of those places.
